This age-old meditation technique is a series of sentences structured to help you break free from thoughts in your head. They are simple, but very powerful. They help you bring your attention back to the now in any moment and connect with your true self. 

Meditation is 'being present in the moment'

Being present in the moment is a natural state of being for us. However, we have become so caught up in our thoughts that we hardly experience this natural state. A good meditation technique helps you detach from your thoughts and experience your true self. That technique doesn't have to be complicated. You don't have to have a particular sitting posture for it, nor do you have to try your best. Precisely not.  

To be

Meditation is not a 'to do' but rather a 'to be'. Not exerting yourself, but being with everything you experience. Being with your attention where your body is. And then, slowly, your awareness expands. You notice that you react differently in situations, no longer reactively, but intuitively. 

As the endless dialogue in your head moves into the background, you are truly present (the greatest gift in relationships with others). You feel connected to yourself, leading to deep self-love and acceptance. In this state of being, nothing is missing; you are content. It is not a passive state; rather, you can do more because you are not bothered by noise in your head.

You are meant to wake up to your true identity
and live a life filled with joy, love & happiness

You can apply the sentences of the Ascension meditation very easily, in meditation, but also during your work, or on your bike, in the shower, waiting for the train, etc. 

The sentences work mechanically, that is, they work without your help or effort. You don't have to believe in them either. They help you with exactly what you need right now, or where you are right now in your life. Whether you want a better night's sleep, or spiritual growth.

I would like to learn the Ascension meditation

You can. Sign up for the waiting list. If there are enough applications, I will teach a course. 

One course is on weekends: Friday evening (7:00 - 9:30 pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10:00 - 5:00 pm). Then you have 6 weeks of follow up with video/audio inspiration and Q&As. 

The investment for this course is €695. 

With the Ascension technique you have a tool in your hands that you can use independently anytime, anywhere. Even if you don't practice it for a while, as soon as you use the technique again, it works.

About Katja

Katja is an Ishaya monk. She has been meditating with the Ascension technique since 2003 and has introduced and established this meditation teaching in the Netherlands. 

All together, she has spent more than two years in retreat with a spiritual teacher. She has been teaching meditation at home and abroad for more than 15 years and guiding people in their meditation practice. 

She is dedicated to her own growth in consciousness and enjoys helping others with their desire for inner wealth.
