Our country house, as we liked to call it - an idyllic cottage by the woods in Drenthe, we sold.
We are moving.
And my goodness, What a lot of stuff a person can collect, even in an outdoor house.
Well, at least I did.
I have a lot of stuff I needed in my outhouse, not needed in Amsterdam. Some of it we stored and some is now here at home.
They say moving can be an emotional event.
Well, I experienced that.
I am attached to this house. Tears run down my cheeks As I watch the moving truck's taillights disappear around the corner. I've never had this before in removals.
So why sell, you ask? Well, selling was a rational choice. Sometimes life goes differently than planned.
But now it has happened.
And it's time to recover.
Yesterday began for me a five-day online retreat from my teacher. Wonderful to let everything go for a while and meditate a lot.
When life asks a lot of you, it's good to take time for yourself. Not having to do anything, but doing only what you need to do.
I call that "getting plugged in. Recharging myself.
Sitting in my comfy chair, candle lit, a pot of my favorite tea nearby and meditating.
I block a time in my calendar so that I have all the freedom.
When was the last time you unplugged?
Now with the pandemic, I can imagine the need for it more than usual.
Also, schedule a time or day(s) for yourself and get plugged in.
Even sitting down for five minutes can be enough.
Do you find that difficult? Then do the online Home Retreat, that will give you some grip, motivation and inspiration.
To your wisdom,
Katja (Prema Devi)
